Our Roots

Cambodia, Siem Reap, and the duty of a guest

Siem Reap holds the memory of Angkor - a civilisation that carved devotion into stone. Its people carry that inheritance with quiet grace, through their practice, ancestor offerings and a deep respect for elders. We are guests on this land, and we behave accordingly: modestly, gratefully, and in service.

Absolute child protection

The safety of children is non-negotiable and takes precedence over every other consideration. No guest is ever unsupervised with a child, no photographs of children are taken or shared, and any concern is reported immediately. We actively reject anything that treats children as an attraction.

Respect for Cambodian law

Guests are responsible for valid visas, lawful conduct and honouring local custom in dress, speech and behaviour — at the sanctuary, in the villages and at every temple. Breaches of Cambodian law end a stay immediately.

Our Sacred Mission

Seva is prayer with our hands

We honour the ancient bond between Hinduism, Buddhism and the animist beliefs woven through Khmer life. In this land the same rivers were blessed by Mahavishnu and Shiva and the Buddha alike, and the same offerings still rise each morning. We do not ask anyone to convert — only to arrive with reverence.

Devotion here is measured in action. Selfless service is the practice, and the village around us is the temple. Every guest who stays becomes part of a working, breathing offering to this community.
